Drip Tease
What's brewed, sophisticated and made with beans? Wrong answer! It's not coffee, it's Cabaret! An entire pound of Mexican cacao beans are brewed to produce a single jar. Touted as an adult chocolate beverage, the purveyors of the sultry syrup promise an afterglow. Just add a teaspoon of the stuff to a cup of hot water and...well, let's see what happens. I'm seldom seen but always heard. I'm bi-polar and I eat lots of sugar but I'm always on top of things. I'm usually cramped up in my warm, dark, office but if I could stretch out, you'd be surprised at how big I am. Who am I? Good Luck!

So I got my jar today. It's 90 degrees here in New York, so I thought I'd try it iced coffee style. First stirred with with hot water, then poured over ice with milk, which made for a slightly nutty beverage, sort of like a Horchata. It was pretty good. In a cup of hot water, the stuff makes a pleasant chocolate tea, it's sweet enough, so no sugar is needed. My favorite way to enjoy it so far has been over Haagen-Dazs Vanilla Bean ice cream. It tastes like yummy chocolate fudge! I waited 20 minutes to see if I felt any different...an afterglow, a bit sleepy?...nothing so far!! LOL

I am going to have to order a jar of this liquid chocolate. My blog is about Mexican chocolate and I think this would work wonders with some recipes I'm working on. Thank you for the info, it's great. I love your blog.
